Principal Message

Friday 25th July

Dear Families,

A very warm welcome back to Term 3! It has been wonderful to see our school community return with such energy and positivity, and I hope the break provided a chance for rest and some special time together.

One of the highlights of the term already has been watching our students enjoy the new Grade 3/4 playground with joy and enthusiasm. Seeing them engaging in creative and active play in a space designed just for them has been fantastic. With all of our new playgrounds now completed, every year level has access to equipment purpose-built for their age, and it has made an incredible difference to the vibrancy of our playtimes across the school.

We have also been so proud of the kindness and warmth our students have shown in welcoming new classmates who have joined us this term. It’s heartwarming to see the genuine care and inclusivity that define our school culture.

Our Shrek Jr. production rehearsals are also in full swing, and what an exciting time it is! Rehearsals have been nothing short of brilliant - the students are bringing dedication and energy to every session. The backing track sounds incredible, and thanks to some amazing parent helpers, the costumes and set are really coming to life. We are so grateful for the time and talent being poured into this project. Congratulations to all our community for their commitment and creativity. A huge thank you to Caitlin Kolokathis, our incredible Performing Arts teacher, whose vision, enthusiasm, and tireless work are making this production possible. Her passion for the arts is inspiring, and we are so lucky to have her leading this exciting project.

Tickets are now on sale, and we encourage all families to come along and experience the magic our students are creating on stage.

This morning, we were excited to host another fabulous Mitchkids Playgroup session, and it was wonderful to see so many preschoolers and their families joining us. The group has continued to grow, and it has been such a joy getting to know our future students and welcoming their families into our school community. The playgroup offers so much more than just play - it is a valuable opportunity for our youngest learners to begin engaging with school routines, language, and activities in a fun and safe environment. With the support of our senior students, who help guide and play alongside them, the children begin to build confidence and familiarity that will support a smooth and happy transition into school next year.

Applications for enrolment in Prep for 2026 close this evening, and families will be notified about the outcome of their applications on Monday.

Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend!
