Interactive Drive Experience

Year 9 students participated in an Interactive Drive educational experience facilitated by TAC in conjunction with the Melbourne Museum. The experience was facilitated by experienced road safety educators who worked with students through six interactive digital experiences.

Each experience explores a different area of the Safe System approach, encouraging students to think about the role that safe speeds, road design, vehicle safety features and road user behaviours have in achieving zero lives lost on our roads. Some of the Road Smart Interactive’s key features and benefits that students participated in included:

  • interactive learning using the latest immersive technologies

  • evidence-informed content and highly engaging experiences for students

  • motivating young people to be part of the solution to making Victoria’s roads safer for everyone

  • it sits within, and complements, a whole school community approach to road safety.

Students were highly engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Recording Student Absences in Compass

We kindly remind all parents, guardians, and carers to ensure that any student absences or missed periods are promptly recorded in Compass.

Accurate attendance records are essential for supporting student wellbeing, learning, and safety. If your child is absent from school or misses specific periods during the day, please log into Compass and provide a reason for the absence as soon as possible.

If you experience any issues accessing Compass or require assistance, please contact the General Office or the relevant Sub-School.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.

Student Behaviour on Buses and in Public Spaces

We would like to remind all families that while students may be off school grounds when travelling to and from Eltham High School, they are still representing the school and are expected to uphold the values we share as a community.

This includes appropriate behaviour on public transport—particularly buses—and in public spaces such as shops and parks. We ask that you please speak with your child about the importance of being safe, respectful, and courteous in the wider community.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations.
