Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,
WELCOME BACK
Welcome back to another very busy Term 3.
It was pleasing to see students, staff and parents back in our great school this week after two weeks of rest and relaxation, and time spent with family and friends.
We have so many exciting events occurring this term including school camps, Book Week, Science Week, Footy Breakfast and The Jungle Book performance. The students are all involved in this fantastic production led by April Sandri and the concert committee. Lead roles will be announced shortly after a week-long audition process. It’s very exciting and we can’t wait to see the production in full swing.
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent Teacher Interviews will be held from Monday 4th - Wednesday 6th August. Parent-teacher interviews are vital for building strong partnerships between home and school, helping to support each child's academic progress and personal development through open communication.
Please ensure you book a time through Compass or by contacting the school office.
NAPLAN RESULTS - YEAR 3 AND 5
Students from Year 3 and 5 who participated in this years NAPLAN will receive their individual students reports next week. The NAPLAN report shows a proficiency scale for each assessment area (numeracy, reading, writing, spelling and grammar and punctuation) with the student’s result shown as a black dot on the scale. An information sheet is provided to assist with how to read the individual student report.
Well done to all students who participated.
ASSEMBLY - MONDAY 28TH JULY 2025
Term 2 assemblies will return on Monday 28 July 2025 at 9am.
Awards from last term will be presented.
JAMIESON STREET - ROAD SAFETY
As you all know Jamieson Street is busy before and after school. It's important that all our students and families obey by all road signs and rules. This includes leaving the Disabled Parking area free for those families who require it, not conducting a U-Turn into car parks and not parking too close to the school crossing.
Our priority is the safety of all pedestrians and road users and we ask for your cooperation.
REMINDER - YEAR 5 SOVEREIGN HILL CAMP
Next week our Year 5 students will be heading off to Ballarat for their 2025 camp. They will be staying at Sovereign Hill where they will experience the greatest gold rush with a focus on the 1850’s gold rush heritage and the environment. Experiences are indoors, outdoors, above ground, and below ground, ensuring a fun and action-packed camp.
Students will have an opportunity to explore an underground mine, pan for gold on the diggings, see live rare trades demonstrations, try the Raspberry Drops, browse the shops, and meet some colourful costumed characters.
WELCOME- RYAN MCELGUNN
We welcome Ryan McElgunn to our team this Term. Ryan is working in Education Support. He has enjoyed his first week with us and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge with all students.
