Our Book Week preparations are in full force and we are excited that this year our Scholastic Book Fair coincides with our Book Parade on Monday 18 August, 2025. Studnets are asked to come to school dressed as their favourite book chracter!

Our Scholastic Book Fair starts on Monday 18th August and goes all week! We will also be keeping the books from the fair until the following Monday, 25th August, when our school will be full with parents, carers and grandparents for our Newman Symposium and Grandparents Day!

As usual, the students will be given the opportunity to preview the books for sale prior to the Fair. The Wish List contains a QR code for early payment to alleviate the massive response we have on fair day and these will be sent home closer to the date.

We have students who are Silver Reading Rock Stars (20 books) and even a few have made the Gold Reading Rock Star level (30 books).  These Library Awards are handed to the students in their respective classes.  Congratulations to all recipients who have shown a consistent commitment to borrowing, reading and returning books to the library every week.

Thank you for encouraging your child/children to read as, “The more they read, the more things they will know, the more that they learn, the more places they’ll go” (Dr Seuss).
