Emmaus Year 11 Students win Shark Tank
We are thrilled to congratulate our Emmaus Year 11 Business Innovation students, Jesse, Jake, and Petrus, for taking out first place in the Environmental category of the Shark Tank eSchool Program competitions last Tuesday.
Their 'Callido Lunchbox' project impressed the judges with its innovative solution to provide hot lunches year-round, reduce food waste, and cut down those long microwave queues. The team’s well-researched prototype showcased practicality, convenience, and impressive design thinking, a true testament to their entrepreneurial talent.
Each year, schools across South Australia compete in Shark Tank eSchool (STeS), hosted by MIELab, as they develop creative solutions to everyday challenges through a semester-long innovation journey. This year, our students shone brightly!

Maya performs in the iconic Festival of Music
We are pleased to share the outstanding achievement of Maya, Year 6 South Plympton student, who was selected to perform in Primary Schools Music Festival – Festival of Music.
Maya performed viola in the accompanying Festival of Music Orchestra, joining talented young musicians from Years 5–11 across South Australia. This remarkable experience placed her among students from more than 300 Festival Choir schools, as well as orchestras and performance troupes made up of auditioned primary and secondary public school students.
The Festival of Music is one of South Australia’s most cherished student arts programs, offering a wide range of performance opportunities. Primary students may shine as soloists, hosts, guest artists, foyer performers, or as members of the prestigious South Australian Public Primary Schools (SAPPS) Choir, a showcase choir for advanced young vocalists.
