Prep Guy

Over the past two weeks we have been revising curriculum content in all areas. Students had a lot of fun inputting data to make our Bee Bots move to the correct ( or incorrect!) position on the grid in Digital Technologies. 

We also had fun collecting data with Skittles and then putting the collected information into a bar graph and discussing the terms most, least, how many of certain colours. 

We began Christmas activities this week; learning the curriculum but with  Christmas twist!

Students will begin to bring school books home over the coming weeks. Please look for any school library and mobile library books at home. Return these as soon as possible.

Students Of The Week

Congratulations to Roy, Harry and Billie who received students of the week certificates at assembly last week. Roy was chosen for the responsibility he takes for his learning, by using Reading Eggs and Mathletics in his own time after school. Great effort Roy earning many certificates. 

Harry was chosen for coming to school four out of five days last week. Well done Harry, we loved having you in our classroom joining in with our learning tasks. 

Billie was chosen for joining in with all learning tasks, asking questions, offering her thoughts and trying her absolute hardest with all learning tasks. Super effort Billie.

Gardening Cooking Club

This week we worked on our mosaic for our school values. If you would like to join in with Gardening Cooking Club, we get together every Tuesday lunch time. Everyone is welcome.

Christmas has come to 12M and Owen wanted to join in the fun!!

 All things Maths!!

In Maths we made paper chains to decorate our room, but what the students didn't realise how much maths we were learning, while making them. They were super excited!! Students linked 458 paper chains together, then we measured the paper chain using students, it was 64 students in length. From making our paper chains, we have learnt about: Measurement, Addition and Place value.

All things Literacy!!

We will be exploring lots of Christmas Books like, "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Sleigh", "Pig the Elf", "Maccas Christmas Crackers", "Yule Not Open This Book", "Green is for Christmas", and "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Star".

• We will look at Recount writing, Opinions, Describing Characters, Connections and Persuasive Writing throughout these books.
