This week we will be saying goodbye to our Year 12s, and so we keep them in our prayers during this, their last week of school before Friday’s graduation. We pray for all those students on exams this week, that they may remain focused and positive. Amen.
We will celebrate Mass on Monday first break & Wednesday at 8am. All welcome. There will be no Mass on Friday due to the Year 12 Graduation Mass.

Excerpt from thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time - Luke 21:5-19 (JB)
When some were talking about the Temple, remarking how it was adorned with fine stonework and votive offerings, Jesus said, 'All these things you are staring at now - the time will come when not a single stone will be left on another: everything will be destroyed.' And they put to him this question: 'Master,' they said 'when will this happen, then, and what sign will there be that this is about to take place?' …
In Sunday’s Gospel from Luke, Jesus reminds His disciples that earthly structures, no matter how magnificent, are temporary. He warns of trials, persecution, and upheaval, yet assures them that these challenges are opportunities to bear witness. The passage emphasizes trust in God’s providence—Jesus promises that He will give wisdom and strength so that His followers can stand firm. The ultimate message is perseverance: even in the face of adversity, faith and endurance lead to life.
This challenges us to examine where we place our security. Do we cling to things that will pass away, or do we root ourselves in Christ, who never fails? In times of uncertainty, this passage calls us to courage, patience, and unwavering trust in God’s plan.
Let us keep our Year 12 students in our prayers. As they leave our gates so many leave with uncertainty of what life will hold for them. May they always feel God’s presence and thus feel courageous in facing life’s opportunities and challenges….and so we pray:
Lord Jesus,
You are our refuge and strength in times of trial. Help us to trust in You when the world feels uncertain and when fear tempts us to lose hope. Give us wisdom to speak Your truth with love and courage to endure with faith. May we never cling to what fades but hold fast to Your promise of life.
Mary our good mother – pray for us
St Marcellin Champagnat – pray for us
St Mary of the Cross MacKillop – pray for us
And may we always remember – to pray for one another
Amen.+
On Monday evening, our pilgrims bound for Cambodia gathered with their families for a Commissioning Liturgy. The Year 11 students and staff members Grace Ryan and Mikael Pitot will be setting off next Thursday 27th November. Drawing on scripture and symbol, our travellers committed to the spirit of the immersion, recognising that just as they are held in love by their families and friends, they are also held in the loving care of God. Through a ‘ritual of light’, each pilgrim showed their willingness to let their light shine and to receive the light of others. We keep our Cambodia immersion group of 2025 and the host communities in Cambodia in our prayers!

We would love to extend a massive thank you to the Marist College Community for their support with the 2025 Christmas Appeal.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire Marist College community for your incredible support of the 2025 Christmas Appeal. Your generosity will bring much hope and relief to those facing hardship this Christmas.
We are currently finalising the tally of gift cards and online donations, and look forward to sharing the grand total in next week’s newsletter.

Last Friday was our final Stationery Aid session for the year. The Mission team is very thankful to all the regular Stationery Aid student volunteers. A special note of thanks goes to our dedicated and delightful parent coordinator, Cath Clarke, who has been instrumental in keeping us on track from week to week.
Stationery Aid Founders, Alison & Jan Schutt along with Cath and husband Justin, both have their youngest sons graduating from Marist this year! Despite their day-to-day involvement with the college is coming to an end, we are excited to continue our relationship with Stationery Aid long into the future. We also look forward to seeing lots of new student faces at our weekly sorting sessions next year.
This term we have been working through large tubs of mixed pencils and sorting them into individual colour tubs! Particular praise goes to Mr Trebbin’s Year 5 class for their wonderful help sorting the last of the mixed tubs.
As we approach the end of the school year, it’s a great time to check your cupboards and drawers for any unwanted stationery items! Donations can be left in the yellow bins outside the Mission Office. To find out more and to check the list for what can be donated, please visit: https://stationeryaid.org/.
