Graduation

The Year 6 Graduation will take place on Monday night, and many staff will be in attendance to celebrate this special milestone with our Year 6 students, their families, and the staff who have supported them throughout their primary school journey.

A huge thank you will go to Tanja Jansen for all her hard work in organising the event, with wonderful support from Lisa Veitch, John Stewart, Steph Cuddon, Nathan Stockton, and Dan Slater. I also want to express my sincere gratitude in advance to our teachers, support staff, and, most importantly, the families who have provided such strong guidance and encouragement over the years.

We wish all our Year 6 graduates the very best as they embark on their secondary education. Farewell, and good luck!

Last Assembly for 2025

The final assembly for the year will be on the oval on Wednesday 17th December at 2:30pm. We will be farewelling the Year 6 students as well as presenting the Student of the Term. As always, parents are more than welcome to attend.

Early Leaving 2025 / Late Starting 2026

We are aware many students may finish the school year early, or will start later in 2026. If this is the situation with your family, please enter these absence into compass. If you are starting later in 2026, please email the office as well, so we have a record of when your child will returning to school.  wheelers.hill.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Parent Contributions for 2026

As we prepare for the 2026 school year, we’re reaching out to seek your continued support through our Parent Contributions, which are now available on Compass.

While the Department of Education funds the staple requirements for teaching and learning, it’s the additional support from families that enables us to deliver the high-quality programs, facilities, and learning experiences our students enjoy. These contributions allow us to enrich the curriculum, enhance resources, and maintain the welcoming school environment that defines Wheelers Hill Primary School.

We are deeply appreciative of the generosity our community has shown in the past and hope this support will continue into 2026. Your contributions directly fund classroom programs, digital and learning materials, and the care of our school grounds, all of which help create a safe, engaging, and inspiring place for every child. Without this ongoing assistance, we may be required to scale back some of the programs and improvements that make our school such a special place.

We’ve worked to keep contribution amounts for 2026 closely aligned with those of 2025, making it as manageable as possible for families to continue their support. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us provide meaningful opportunities for our students to learn and grow.

Thank you once again for your generosity, involvement, and commitment to our school community. Together, we can ensure that 2026 is another year of success, growth, and opportunity for all students.

Farewell

As some families say goodbye to Wheelers Hill this year, with their child completing Year 6, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your support and involvement over the years. We wish you all the very best for the future and hope your children carry fond memories of their time at WHPS.

To the students who are moving on to new schools before completing Year 6, we wish you every success in your new adventures. We hope you and your families will always remember your time at Wheelers Hill Primary School with warmth and fond memories.
