Radio Active – One Night Only!
This week we were especially proud to welcome back GSG alumnus Angus Moir (Camfield, 2020), who has been working closely with our students throughout the week, sharing his experience and passion for music in prepartion for tomorrow night.
Tomorrow, at the Albany Entertainment Centre, Radio Active Albany will bring together the dynamic talents of WAAPA Contemporary Music students, alongside the spirited performers from our VET music students and Albany Senior High School. The concert promises a fusion of genres, styles and energies, from soul-stirring ballads to electrifying rock anthems and everything in between. Each performance is a testament to the boundless creativity and passion of the young artists. As the WAAPA students showcase their virtuosity, pushing the boundaries of musical expression, they also mentor and collaborate with the budding talents of our GSG students and Albany Senior High School.
We invite all families to come along and support our young artists as they showcase their talents in this unforgettable evening of live music.

Year Ten Work Experience: Students Thriving Beyond the Classroom
Our visits to see the Year Ten students participating in Work Experience are well underway, and it has been truly rewarding to witness their growth in real-world settings.
It is also very inspiring to see our students out and about, thriving as they gain valuable knowledge and firsthand experience in industries aligned with their interests and future aspirations. From healthcare to trades and veterinary, they are exploring diverse career pathways and building confidence in professional environments.
These experiences not only enhance their learning but also help them develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving.
We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and commitment, and we thank all the local businesses and organisations who have welcomed our students and supported their journey.
More to come!
