Principal message

St Monica's is a child-safe school.

We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.

Over the past two weeks, I have had the pleasure of meeting many staff members, students, and some of you within our school community. These initial connections have already reaffirmed the vibrant and welcoming spirit that makes St. Monica’s such a special place.

Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourselves when you see me at drop-off, pick-up, or school events. I am here to support you and your children in every way I can.

Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the St. Monica’s community. I am excited about the future we will shape together and look forward to getting to know you all better in the years ahead.

Staffing Update

I wish to announce and congratulate Anthony Chalkley's recent appointment as Deputy Principal of St Monica's.  His appointment comes after an exhaustive CESL employment process.

Christmas Concert

We look forward to welcoming families and friends to our special Christmas concert on Thursday, December 12 at 6.00pm on the "Lower' grass area.  Bring a chair and enjoy the show.

Change of finishing time 2025

As of next year, our school day will end at 3.15pm to align with other local schools.

With this change, it is a good time to start considering your end-of-day plans.  Here are some questions to help you prepare:

  • Have you thought about your pick-up or after-school arrangements for 2025?
  • Did you know that St Monica's offers Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) through the YMCA?
  • Would you consider networking with other families for carpooling or shared pick-ups?
  • Are your children prepared to walk home or to another safe pick-up location?

We are here to assist all families during this transition, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

School Fees & Levies

Statements for school fees & levies are emailed to families.  Please check your statement and contact the office if you have any questions.

It is expected that all school fees and levies are finalised each year by the start of December.

The school provides a variety of options for payment of school fees and levies - in full at the start of the school year / part payment at the start of each school term by:

- direct debit  (weekly/fortnightly/monthly)

- direct payment into the school bank account

- CDF Pay app

- EFTPOS at the office

It is important that payment of school fees and levies are honoured and prompt payment is much appreciated.  However, if you are experiencing difficulty meeting your obligation for payment, please contact the school to arrange a time to discuss this with the Principal, Mr Matt Knight.

2025 Preparation...

The new year will present excitement and new challenges for all as we introduce our system-wide Learning Program 'Magnify' - an evidence-based teaching and learning approach to literacy and Numeracy.  Information will be shared with families over the next few weeks.
