Term 4 sport updates
YEAR 7 TEAMS
Our Year 7 teams have continued to show fantastic improvement throughout the season. Each week they take the field with enthusiasm and determination, proudly representing Kilvington. It’s been great to see their commitment at training and on match days, giving their all for the School.
The Year 7s will now enjoy a well-deserved week off for the Melbourne Cup break, before returning for the final four rounds of the season, after which the champions will be crowned.
YEARS 8 AND 9 TEAMS
Across Years 8 and 9 Sport, we currently have nine teams in the mix for a semi-final position. With only two rounds remaining, we’re hopeful of seeing a strong Kilvington presence in finals.
It’s been particularly pleasing to see impressive performances across a wide range of sports, including badminton, hockey, indoor cricket, netball and touch football, showcasing the depth and diversity of talent in these year levels.
For our Year 9s, this season marks their final campaign in this competition before moving into the Senior Division next year, and they’re finishing in great form.
YEARS 10 AND 11 TEAMS
Finally, a huge congratulations to our Years 10 and 11 students for an outstanding House Sport Competition. Over the past four weeks, they participated in a program featuring four unique sports: Pickleball, Beach Soccer, Squash and Badminton, with each year level rotating through the activities. Participation and enthusiasm were at an all-time high, showcasing the spirit and energy of our senior students.
A huge congratulations to Fysh House for claiming the Senior House Cup for the third consecutive year – an incredible achievement!
MELBOURNE PRESS CLUB CRICKET EVENT
It was a pleasure to recently attend the Melbourne Press Club's launch for the summer of Australian cricket with two of our keenest players and fans, Imogen Campbell (Year 11) and Jock McKenzie (Year 11).
We enjoyed the ‘Sizzling Summer of Cricket’ event, featuring Todd Greenberg, Bharat Sundaresan and Brad Hodge. It was fantastic to see some of the game’s most influential figures and hear their insights on what promises to be an exciting summer of cricket.
SPORT SELECTIONS FOR 2026
Looking ahead, sport selections for Term 1 2026 are now open for all students in Years 7 to 11. We encourage everyone to think carefully about their choices, discuss options with parents and friends and select a sport that they’ll enjoy and commit to. Students can find the selection link in the recent email from Mr Bahramis or access it directly via the KCEE homepage.
