Lumination League 2024

This term, we have had two teams competing in the second annual Lumination League, a competition between schools with Lumination Labs where students compete in a series of weekly challenges.

For the 2024 edition of the Lumination League, students completed artistic projects, played music, conducted chemistry experiments, and played basketball.

Special mention to Alice S, Grace C, and Jemma M for their rendition of the Statue of Liberty, which won them the week’s competition!

Year 7 Science Students Blast Off with DIY Rocket Launches

As part their Earth, Moon and Space Unit, our Year 7 Science students had a lot of fun launching rockets this week.  The girls mixed baking soda with vinegar in a plastic drink bottle 'rocket' to create carbon dioxide gas, which when released, caused the rocket to spectacularly overcome the pull of gravity and head straight for the stars!
