Wellbeing Space

As the new school year begins, it's a time of excitement and anticipation for both students and parents. Aristotle's wisdom, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all," reminds us that true education goes beyond academics. It's about nurturing empathy, kindness and emotional intelligence in our children.
As parents, our words hold immense power in shaping our children's attitudes and behaviours. However, it's our actions that leave the most lasting impact. Demonstrating the value of ERIC – empathy, respect, integrity and compassion – in our daily lives teaches children these values far more effectively than words alone. Encouraging them to be curious, supportive and resilient will help them thrive both academically and personally.
Let's embrace this new school year with a commitment to lead by example, showing our children that while words matter, actions matter more. By doing so, we can help them grow into well-rounded individuals who not only excel in their studies but also contribute positively to their communities.
