PETTET FOUNDATION AWARD

Congratulations to Harry C for receiving the Pettet Foundation Award. Harry has established himself as a trusted and respected member of the POPS community. With an inclusive spirit and an enthusiastic, positive personality, he is a true asset to our school. Harry consistently embodies the school values, always going the extra mile to include others, offer congratulations to his peers, and provide support whenever needed. Harry's kindness, generosity, community-minded nature, and sense of responsibility are evident in his actions. 

POPS SCIENCE AWARD 

Congratulations to William R for receiving the POPS Science Award. Will is an inquisitive student who takes on every opportunity in science to extend his understanding of the world around him and learn about new scientific concepts. He approaches investigations with enthusiasm and enjoys sharing his observations and the conclusions he has reached with their peers. Will shows curiosity when exploring a vast range of scientific topics and has a great interest in understanding how things work. 

 

MRS DANIEL’S LITERACY AWARD

Congratulations to Angela M for receiving the Mrs Daniel's Literacy Award. Angela has a passion for reading and particularly writing. She reads extensively and loves to be drawn into the world of an author’s creation. Angela talks robustly about the texts they read, inspiring her peers to be more adventurous with her book choices. Her incredibly detailed and descriptive writing also draws people into her imaginative world. Angela writes with a creative voice, taking risks in writing from different perspectives. She is a person who is constantly working to develop her writing craft and uses a vast vocabulary to express her ideas.

 

LION’S CLUB ENVIRONMENTAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD 

Congratulations to Rosie R for receiving the Lion's Club Environmental Citizenship Award. Rosie is the well-deserving recipient of our environmental award. She demonstrates a genuine interest and passion for nature and our local natural environment. At POPS, Rosie likes to apply her green thumb in the garden and isn’t afraid to get dirty and work hard. Rosie cares for animals by picking up rubbish in the yard and visiting the hens to check in on them. She thrived at the Currawong Bush Park excursion where she actively engaged in sustainability focused activities, answered questions and shared her terrific ideas.
