Students in Design Technology this term have worked tirelessly to create many functional items of beauty. A standout item was from Year 12 student Hannah Bennett who crafted a stunning black heart sassafras bedside table with shelves and a drawer.

Year 10 students have made a variety of projects including a drum spit roast, swinging two person bench seat, pine bedside tables and unique hand operated Japanese timber bellows made by Harry Witcomb.
Year 9 students explored creating with steel, using plasma cutters, welders and angle grinders to make weather vanes, metal flowers and a 3 in 1 rod holder suitable for many fishing surfaces.
Year 8 students enjoyed the heat of the forge as they black smithed fire pokers, candelabras and a lovely metal hair decoration made by Arrie.
Year 7 students raced their way to the end of term with rocket cars and getting final touches completed on wooden coaster sets.
A fantastic year once again in the ‘shed’ with many lifelong skills learnt and refined. Well done to all!

The Quest students were been blessed with wonderful weather conditions for their Mt Field Camp and they made the most of it. Tasmania’s Southwest and the accompanying National Park has an amazing ecological and cultural history, with a range of wildlife and interesting historical sites for the students to engage with.
On Friday afternoon, Year 9 students were presented with a QUEST completion certificate to mark their completion of the QUEST program.

Yesterday our high school students had some fun playing various sports including table tennis, beach volleyball and basketball, to name just a few sports.
We travelled to the home of the Jack Jumpers to allow the students to test their skills on the court in some high intensity, fun games of basketball. The team from Eden eventually came out on top as the overall winners of the day. Well done, Eden!
Some of our players were lucky enough to meet some of the Jack Jumpers players including Clint Steindl and Majok Deng before they head over to take on the New Zealand Breakers! A few very excited students to be sure.
