CONGRATULATIONS
Last weekend, Jake and Alex raced in the 4th and final round in the series of the Joyride Rookie Cup, Victoria’s premier junior downhill mounts in bike racing series. Located at their home track of Mt Major, the boys rode in heavy rain and mud on Saturday, only to be followed by a clear and sunny race day Sunday. Both competing in the U11 division, Alex placed 10th in his very first race, from 23 riders, and Jake made the podium in the same age catering, finishing 2nd. Jake raced in all 4 rounds, and with a culmination of points, finished 3rd overall for the series, against the best junior downhill riders in Victoria. A huge achievement, and a fantastic result for all his efforts.
OUT OF BOUNDS
The Frog Bog and all plantation areas are currently out of bounds following a snake sighting earlier this week. Teachers have discussed seasonal snake safety with all classes, emphasizing what to do if a snake is encountered. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in ensuring a safe environment during this time of year when snakes are more active.
Have a lovely weekend,
Regards Heather
