Principals' Message

Mrs Dominica Bearman

Exciting news

We have some thrilling news to share! Next year, our school will be expanding from 3 classrooms to 4, providing us with even more opportunities for learning and growth.

This change will allow us to create smaller class sizes, giving our students more individualized attention and support. Each classroom will be designed to foster creativity and collaboration, ensuring an engaging environment for all.

New staff member

I am excited to announce that we have a new addition to our school community! Please join me in welcoming Mrs Kate Sullivan, who will be replacing Charlie during her maternity leave. Let’s make her feel welcome as she transitions into her new role. We encourage everyone to introduce yourselves and share your enthusiasm for our school community.

Canteen

We wanted to inform you that Mrs Cassie Turner will be finishing her role as the canteen supervisor. We are currently in the process of advertising for her replacement.

During this transition period, there may be a temporary interruption in canteen each week. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure a smooth handover.

Thank you for your support!

AIP Review

In 2024, our school has made significant strides in achieving the goals set out in our Annual Improvement Plan, with a clear focus on curriculum, assessment and instruction, high-functioning teams, and positive partnerships. Through targeted professional development and collaborative planning, we’ve strengthened our curriculum delivery and improved assessment practices, leading to measurable gains in student achievement.

Our commitment to fostering high-functioning teams has enhanced collaboration and effectiveness, ensuring consistency and quality in instruction. Additionally, by nurturing positive partnerships with families and the community, we’ve created a supportive environment that empowers our students and strengthens engagement, contributing to a thriving school culture.

Last Tuesday, members of our Leadership Team joined with the team at St Joseph's Mungindi, St Joseph's Warialda, and members of Armidale Catholic Schools, to share the evidence of impact from our 2024 plan and our next steps for 2025. It is always wonderful to share and celebrate the great work that is happening across our system of schools.

School Fees

As the end of the year is rapidly approaching, could I please ask that you finalise school fees over the next few weeks. The school’s financial year is a calendar year and we need to report to the Catholic Schools Office by the end of this year. Again, thank you to our community for your ongoing financial support of our school.

Wishing all members of our school community a wonderful week!
