Primary Community News

Foundation (Prep-Year 2)

Prep A have had a busy start to Term 4!  We have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk. We planted our own beans and are excited to watch them grow in our greenhouses.

On Tuesday we enjoyed a visit from Reptile Encounters. We saw lizards, snakes, frogs, insects and even a crocodile!

Lower Primary (Years 3-4)

This week, our Lower Primary students had a fun time learning about living things with a visit from some reptiles. We saw a crocodile, turtle, frog, snake, and stick insect. The students were excited to be able to touch the reptiles and learn about them. We talked about where each reptile lives and what they eat. For example, turtles live in water and eat plants and small fish, while snakes can live in many places and eat rodents and insects. We had a lot of fun learning about the reptiles!

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

We have had a busy start to the term. We have hit the ground running learning about Living things in Inquiry.  Alison’s class has started to make grass heads, and the other classes will follow in the next week or so.  This Wednesday we have a scheduled incursion for Wild Action Animals.  We are all looking forward to learning about and handling the animals.
