Tuesday night 5th November 2024 (Melbourne Cup night) we held our Week 4 PandC meeting. 

 

Firstly on the agenda was Mrs Bromley (HT Science). It was an enlightening talk about the great things that the Science Faculty are doing to enrich the minds of students.

The run-down of things happening at Camden High, as follows:

  • Year 12 are about to finish their schooling journey completely. The HSC concludes as of Nov 8th. Once again, we wish them the best for their results when they come out and also for what their future brings!
  • Updates from previous requests:
    • CHS Swim caps for carnivals 2025 (and beyond) have been ordered
    • From the traffic survey, a new 60km/h sign has been erected on Cawdor Rd just as you turn from Burragorang Rd.

New information given to us from the inner workings of the school:

  • 2025 information: There are now four school development days at the start of term 1, and an additional day at the start of term 4. No school development days at the end of the year. Further details will be given by the school.
  • The Leadership students have asked the PandC if they could run a second hand uniform stall. This has been agreed to. 

Our main item for the meeting was that we finally had some seating installed for students use. This has been an ongoing discussion as to the use of money that we had and we finally settled on some additional seating. This has recently been installed near the Oval. We had 9 x 2m benches installed. Make sure you let your children know that this was funded by the PandC.

  

P+C Meeting dates for 2025

Weeks 4 and 9 of each term.

  • Term 1: Tuesday February 18th and Tuesday March 25th.
  • Term 2: Tuesday May 20th and Tuesday June 24th.
  • Term 3: Tuesday August 12th and Tuesday September 16th.
  • Term 4: Tuesday November 4th . 
  • Term 4: Tuesday 10th December. This is an informal meeting which will be held off site. If you wish to join us, please let us know.
