Term 4 is a SunSmart term and we remind all students they are required to have a broad brimmed hat for all of Term 4. Students who do not have a hat will be restricted to indoor areas. The school has a small number of hats for loan, but these are for students who forgot and will not be a regular loan. I have been grateful for the students adherence to this and thank them for protecting themselves and setting a great example for others.
Prepared for Learning: Ensuring Success in the Classroom
To maximise learning time, it's essential that students come to class prepared with all necessary materials. This includes their books, pencil case, and a fully charged laptop. Students are reminded to pay close attention to what is required for each class, ensuring that they are ready to engage and succeed in their studies.
The CONNECT program is designed to keep students engaged and connected through to the end of the year. The program outlines the schedule for when each year level will conclude curriculum classes and the activities available afterward. We hold high expectations for attendance until each student's final day of schooling. We welcome feedback from parents to better understand any challenges related to school attendance.
Year 7-9: Curriculum classes will conclude on Friday the 13th December. Below is the outline for our CONNECT program in the final week of school.
Monday 16.12 | Tuesday 17.12 | Wednesday 18.12 | Thursday 19.12 | Friday 20.12 |
The Tournament: A competitive school-based tournament designed to get students thinking in teams and working collaboratively to solve problems and tasks. A fun way to CONNECT prior to the school holidays | Albury Activity: Students will travel to Albury for a movie and time in town | Students will assist the school in preparing for the school break |
Students are required to be at school throughout the school day. Below is the process for obtaining a lunch pass. Please note that our school has a Café, and its viability depends on student and family support.
Short Term Lunch Passes
Long Term Lunch Passes
Year 12 students have long term lunch passes as a privilege. Parents wishing to arrange a long term lunch pass should meet with the Student Engagement Leader to discuss its appropriateness and the benefits of staying at school during out-of-class time.

Students studying a Unit 3/4 subject are getting towards the completion of study prior to the exam period. Well done to students who have already achieved a satisfactory result for their outcomes. For students completing exams, be sure to work hard and reach out if you require any additional information or want to clarify topics. Be sure to maintain the schools values of Respect | Kindness | Confidence right through to your last day of enrolment with MBSC. Best of luck and we know that you will give it your all.
