Welcome to Term 4!
We're excited to kick off the term, and it's shaping up to be a busy, fun-filled one! Students will be diving into new learning opportunities and engaging in many exciting lessons. In the coming weeks, we are organising some exciting events, so keep an eye out for important dates.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce and welcome Ms Nicole Press to our school. Nicole is a School Counsellor and will be working with us every Monday and Friday. Welcome Nicole!
Ms Miwa is also joining our GEPS staff. Miwa is a Wellbeing Officer and will be working to initiate and support the delivery of a range of learning and wellbeing services and programs to students and their families. Welcome Miwa!
Stay tuned for all the exciting things happening in weeks 1 – 5!
Book Houses
You may have already noticed but we have placed a number of Book Houses around the school. These boxes have been painted by students from our school and will be filled with books that students can borrow at recess or lunch, or even take home to finish. If you do wish to borrow a book to take home, please take care of it and return it to a Book House once finished.
Happiness Head Quarters
Happiness Head Quarters is a lunch time club that is run every Tuesday lunch time. Students are able to come to the library to participate in quiet activities such as card games, board games, colouring in and drawing, building with Lego and making friendship bracelets.
Wear it Loud day
Loud Shirt Day is an exciting nationwide event that empowers & celebrates children with hearing loss. Staff and students at GEPS supported the cause by dressing up in brightly coloured shirts and donating a gold coin. All money raised will be sent to the charity.
