News and Notices

From the Principal

Tēnā koutou katoa, Ridgeview whānau,

I am absolutely thrilled to join your incredible community as the new principal of Ridgeview School! The warmth and manaakitanga shown during the powhiri was a lovely experience to be part of. I am looking forward to working together with you, our tamariki, and staff, to continue building a nurturing and inspiring environment for our learners. This term I will be taking a moment to settle in and get to know the staff, students and community. I really look forward to getting to know you all and hope to see you all at our community events this term.

Over the holidays I worked closely alongside Rachael Kemball to do a thorough handover and I can see how much Rachael cared and how hard she worked for the success of the Tamariki at Ridgeview and I hope to be able to continue that.  I would like to thank Rachael for setting up such fantastic systems it's made coming in easy.

If you have any questions or would like to make a time to come and chat please email me on casseyp@ridgeview.school.nz or contact the office and Kalene will book in an appointment. If my door is open pop in and introduce yourself.

Ngā mihi nui,

Cassey Prentice

Principal

Students will be coming home asking about natural disasters and seeking some knowledge and experience from whanau so please support them in this learning. If you have any interesting stories to tell or share please get in touch with your child's classroom teacher.

Hui/Fono Parent Evening

We would love it if you can make it to our Hui/Fono evening on Thursday  15th November at 6pm in Wahi Pakari.

We would like your feedback on our Strategic plan, students learning for 2025 and also an opportunity to have a Q & A session with Miss Prentice. We will have a light super afterwards.

Your feedback is vital in being able to plan for 2025 so we hope you can all make it.

Kids will be entertained in Wahi Pitau with a movie with two of our fantastic teachers during this time.

Hats

Term 4 means that the children are required to wear their school hat. Please make sure your child has one and it is named on the inside. Hats can be purchased from Kalene at the office for $15.
