Dear Saltwater Families,
As the end of the school term (and year) approaches, the excitement in the air is palpable. However, in the midst of the holiday spirit, it's easy to forget the importance of attendance in these final days before the break. Here are a few reasons why attendance before school holidays is crucial for students and the entire school community.
1. Maximising Learning Opportunities
Every school day is an opportunity for students to learn and grow. Missing school days just before the holidays can lead to significant gaps in their education. Teachers often plan important lessons and activities that are not only engaging but also essential for students' academic progress. Missing out on these experiences can set students back and make it challenging to catch up later.
2. Building a Strong Work Ethic
Consistent attendance teaches students the importance of responsibility and commitment. It helps them develop a strong work ethic that will serve them well in their future endeavours.
