Transitioning to School for 2025

This section is relevant for families who have children attending Foundation in 2025.

Our Blue and Orange Teams will continue to be offered a variety of school experiences this term in preparation for the start to their school journey in 2025.  This week the children have come back from their first Lunch eating and playtimes visit to school buzzing with excitement and looking forward to next week's visit. The Orange Team will visit on Tuesday, Blue Team on Wednesday and both Teams will attend Library and Gross Motor as normal on Thursday.

During weeks 4, 5 and 8 the Orange and Blue Teams will visit the Stage 1 classrooms and have a chance to get to know the teachers.

It is important for families to refer to the Transition Booklet regarding information about the upcoming transition visits, uniforms and starting dates.

A little reminder:

School Transition Visit dates:  Thursday 21 November, Thursday 28 November & Monday 9 December from 9:00am - 10:30am.

The Morning Program is not available on these dates at Curiosity, and families are required to drop their child off and collect them on the day from school.  Once the transition visit is over, families are required to sign their child in at Curiosity if it is their day. Thank you.

Children are asked to wear the Curiosity uniform and bring along a hat, drink bottle and healthy snack.

Transitioning to Imagination (OSHC) for 2025

This section is relevant for families who have children attending Foundation in 2025 and accessing Imagination in early January.

If your child currently attends our Afternoon Program, we would like to offer them the opportunity to experience Imagination later this term.  Two of our educators who are well known by the children will attend with them and remain with them until you collect them from OSHC.

The children will experience what it feels like to walk to OSHC, find a place for their bag, sign-in with an educator, locate the bathrooms and play areas and enjoy afternoon tea. These experiences will offer familiarity to the children and give time for the building of relationships with the educators and other children at the Service.

We will inform you of the dates for these visits once confirmed, then if your child is not currently accessing our Afternoon Program but will be going to Imagination in 2025, please speak with Jasmyn to book in a session if you feel this would be valuable for your child.  

If you have a child at Imagination and Curiosity, you will need to manage your afternoon to ensure that you are collecting both children before 6pm please.

Please note that you will be able to action an Imagination account before the end of 2024 and book your child in for the Holiday Program which will commence on January 6, 2025. The Imagination team will send you details about this in the coming weeks.
