SOCIAL JUSTICE -COOK UP AT PADUA TYABB
On Thursday after school, Social Justice students and parents from St Joseph’s and St Mary’s, St Brendan’s and Padua Tyabb met for a Community cook up.
Matt led our activity and we all had different stations and different recipes.
Altogether we made 165 meals which were divided between the 4 schools.
The meals will be used for people or families in our communities who need a helping hand. These families might have a new baby or someone is sick or away or families experiencing tricky times.
This is social justice in action.
We are following Mary MacKillop’s vision by taking action when we see a need.
It is a great initiative to have the primary and secondary schools in our Parish working together in our Faith missions.
It was a great fun night!
