Yesterday I attended the Victorian Coding Competition run by the Mathematical Association of Victoria. We had two teams competing in this competition in which the students participated in a number of problem solving, real world challenges.
A big congratulations to our Year 5 team - Xinyi, Stanley, Viaan and Yuzo – who finished in 5th place.
A massive congratulations to our year 6 team – Jeremy, Ken, Jed and James – who finished in first place!
A huge thank you to Mr Stockton for the work that he does with these students in giving them the skills to explore coding, problem solving and develop higher order thinking skills.
The Great Clothing Exchange!
Do you or your family have good quality clothing you have outgrown or no longer wear?
Sustainable Monash is hosting a mega clothing exchange event for kids, teens and adults.
Get along to Monash Civic Centre on Saturday 30 November from 10am – 1pm to exchange or donate good quality clothing for the same amount of new preloved items.
Reusing clothes means we are keeping these items in circularity rather than going to landfill, helping to create a more sustainable Monash.
Free ticketed event. Register at www.monash.vic.gov.au/clothes-swap
