Introducing Myself

My name is Kirsten Kirkwood‑Yule, and I’m delighted to be joining the school community as the Religious Education Coordinator.

I look forward to supporting the students of St Patrick’s as they continue to grow in their faith, and to working closely with staff and families to strengthen the rich faith life that shapes our school. Building these partnerships is something I value deeply, and I’m excited for the year ahead. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks.

As we begin this new school year, we hold our community in prayer, asking for wisdom, joy, and a spirit of kindness to guide us in all we do. May this year be one of learning, connection, and growth for every student and family.

In regard to the Parent Information Night for Reconciliation on 25th February, we understand that finding childcare can be challenging, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to attend. However, this session is designed specifically for parents and will focus on providing important information, guidance, and support related to the Reconciliation process. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at the Parent Information Night.

Please note that at the Opening School Mass, our 2026 school leadership team will also receive their leadership badges.

Pope Francis Award- 2026

We are delighted to share that the Pope Francis Award Program will soon begin for our Year 6 students. This program honours the life and leadership of Pope Francis by encouraging young people to grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally through meaningful service in their school, parish, and wider community. Grounded in Catholic Social Teaching, the program nurtures servant leadership, parish involvement, social justice, and compassionate action.

This year, Mrs Maguire will serve as our Teacher Mentor, guiding students as they complete their service hours, engage with parish life, and reflect on their experiences through the online Canvas platform. Her support helps students live out the Gospel values embodied by Pope Francis: kindness, courage, humility, and joy, so they can make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of others.

Next week, Mrs Maguire will speak with interested students about the program and send home further information. Students will then be invited to complete a short survey explaining why they would like to participate. A parent information meeting will follow as the next step in the process.

Yours in Faith,

Kirsten Kirkwood-Yule
