Year 7 Zoo Excursion

On November 17th the Year 7 cohort made the trip to Melbourne Zoo to showcase their Classification and Ecosystems knowledge. Students attended an educational program with a Melbourne Zoo Education Officer and were challenged with activities like identifying features of animal skulls, sharing what they know about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, and observing specialised adaptations of the ring-tailed lemurs. Students were engaged and ready to share their knowledge as well as learn new things. After their program students explored the Zoo, with many citing the platypus, pygmy hippo and lions as their favourite animals of the day. What a great day!
