Wellbeing Chickens
Please see below an interview carried out with a wonderful Nana of the school community who has knitted numerous chickens for our wellbeing space and classrooms:
Interview with Nana
Thanks for making these for our wellbeing nana, they have been so helpful already.
How long does it take you to make one? About 15 hours each.
What do you enjoy about making them? They are all very different and no chicken is the same, it’s fun to be unique.
Where does the wool and other materials come from? My stash and the shop.
Has the pattern been easy to follow? Not at first however I’ve mastered it now.
How many chickens have you knitted for Macedon primary school? I’m old and I’ve lost count … I’d guess about 10.
Would you consider selling for pocket money and materials? Yes.
What do you make them? Because I hope that the children like them and find them beneficial.
Thankyou nana for your time, amazing effort and dedication. Your chickens will be well loved at our school.
