Boarding
It has been another busy and rewarding few weeks in the Boarding House, with our girls settling into the rhythm of Term 3 and making the most of the many opportunities and activities on offer.
At our recent Formal Dinner, Mrs Danvers reminded us that Kambala has just celebrated its 139th birthday. Importantly, Kambala has been a boarding school for all 139 of those years, reinforcing the significant and enduring place that boarding holds within the history and life of our school.
On Tuesday the 11th of August, all of our boarders and staff came together to complete the nationwide Census. It was a great opportunity for the whole house to participate together and for the girls to learn more about the importance of the Census and the information it collects about our community.
Our Boarding Prefects have also been busy creating a Gratitude Wall in the Boarding House. It has already generated a lot of interaction from both girls and staff, with many taking the opportunity to recognise and thank others for the small acts of kindness and support that make our boarding community such a positive place to live.
With a busy term ahead, there is plenty to look forward to, and we continue to enjoy seeing the girls grow in confidence, independence and connection within our boarding community.

Boarding School Day of Fun at Luna Park!
The Kambala Boarders recently enjoyed an exciting day out at Luna Park Sydney as part of a special Sydney Boarding Schools event. The outing provided a wonderful opportunity for the girls to connect with students from a variety of other boarding schools across Sydney, making new friendships while enjoying one of the city's most iconic attractions.
With beautiful sunshine and perfect weather, the girls spent the day exploring the park, enjoying the fresh air, and taking on the many rides and attractions. From thrilling twists and turns to plenty of laughter and excitement, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Some of the standout favourites of the day included the Big Top, Sledgehammer, Dodge-em Cars, Rotor and the spinning excitement of the Wild Tango. These rides certainly delivered plenty of screams, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
The outing was a fantastic opportunity for the girls in Year 7-11 to relax, have fun, and enjoy time together outside of the Boarding House. It was wonderful to see the girls embracing new experiences, connecting with fellow boarders from across Sydney, and making the most of a beautiful day by the harbour.
A memorable day of sunshine, friendship, and adventure was had by all! 🎡☀️🎢🎉
House Pride Night
The Boarding House embraced House Pride by inviting our new House Prefects from Wentworth, Hawthorne, Gurney and Roseby to join us for dinner. The boarders formed House-based teams, with their prefects taking the lead. Before dinner, our Boarding Prefects, Zara and Eve, ran a series of fun games and competitions, bringing plenty of energy and excitement to the evening.
With boarders dressed in their House colours, the dining room was awash with red, black, green and blue as everyone got into the spirit of House Pride.
Boarders Advisory Team Announcement
A big congratulations to our 2026/2027 Boarders Advisory Team. The following students have been appointed to the team and will work alongside our Prefects to support the running of boarding events and activities. They will also act as advocates and representatives for their respective year levels, helping to ensure that the ideas and voices of our boarders are heard.
