Student Success

Hugo Hircoe, a Year 11 student from Stirling, has been training in wrestling for just over two years, committing to the sport five to six times each week.
Earlier in March, Hugo was selected to represent Australia, attending a national training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra before travelling to Apia, Samoa for the Oceania Wrestling Championships.
Competing in freestyle Olympic wrestling, he earned a silver medal at the Championships, narrowly missing gold.
Hugo describes wrestling as a great way to channel energy and stay focused. It is a sport open to everyone, regardless of gender, size or experience, and offers a positive outlet both physically and mentally.
A strong example of dedication within the VCE Stirling cohort.
Well done Hugo!
Congratulations to Caitlin Boudsingkhone (12B), who recently competed at the prestigious The Cheerleading Worlds, held in Orlando Florida from 24–27 April 2026.
Caitlin was a member of the “Kelly Girls” team, which achieved outstanding success by winning the International Open Level 5 (IO5) Division. Competing against 22 other teams across a two-day competition, the team delivered an exceptional performance to take home the gold medal.
This is a remarkable achievement, and we congratulate Caitlin on representing her team with such skill, dedication, and determination.
