On Friday the 5th of June, all of the Prep students enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at school with their grades. Food was prepared, made and served by the teachers and ES to our very excited Preps. There was toast, pancakes, juice and fruit. Well done to all the students for showing great manners and respect, and more importantly for having fun!

On Fridays, Prep students have the opportunity to be involved in a Language Experience that is relevant to them, is fun and then gives them a purpose to complete some meaningful writing where they 'recount' their experience. We as teachers, are so impressed with how well their writing is improving and has changed since the beginning of the year. Well done, Preps! On this Friday, we learned that we can make butter just by using full cream, a jar, a couple of marbles and a pinch of salt. Then all we had to do was SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE until the butter magically appeared - when the fat separated from the buttermilk.
So much fun, especially eating the 'fairy bread' using our 'homemade' butter.
Yum!

This term we have started our weekly PMP sessions.
In these sessions, students rotate through a range of fun and timed activities that build their gross motor skills for hand-eye coordination, balance and spacial awareness. Thank you, Preps for your enthusiasm every week and thank you especially to our regular mum helpers who come and assist. This program would not be possible to run without your help! Here are a few snaps of our Preps enjoying PMP. This will continue in Term 3.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about patterns in Maths. The prep students have really grasped this concept and have shown their understanding of patterns by using colours, shapes, numbers or objects. We even made bracelets with patterns. Well done, Preps!
