Principal Report
Mrs Deborah Crane
One of the greatest strengths of our school is the sense of community that connects our students, families, staff, and our wider community. When we come together, we create opportunities not only to strengthen relationships but also to support the programs and initiatives that enrich our students' learning experiences.
Throughout the year, our School Council and staff organise a range of fundraising events. These events are about much more than raising funds—they are an opportunity to connect with other families, celebrate our school spirit, and contribute to a shared sense of belonging.
I encourage every family to consider participating in at least one or two community events this year. Whether you attend, volunteer, donate, or help behind the scenes, your involvement makes a meaningful difference. Collective efforts, no matter how small, help us achieve great things for our students and foster the welcoming, vibrant community that makes our school so special.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. Together, we can continue to create opportunities that benefit all our students while strengthening the connections that make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Our collective fundraising efforts this year will be directed towards resurfacing our basketball court, an important project that will benefit all of our students. To achieve this goal, we need your support.
In addition, we are currently advocating for a covered basketball court as part of a broader Master Plan to enhance our school environment and facilities. We have launched a petition and are hopeful that our local Members of Parliament and the State Government will support these initiatives through future capital funding opportunities.
We are also continuingto apply for a range of state grants to help improve our facilities and provide the best possible learning and play environments for our students.
We submitted a grant just recently to replace our Year 3-6 toilets - Many thanks to Belinda and Daniel with the assistance of writing this grant.
Every contribution, whether through attending fundraising events, volunteering your time, or supporting our advocacy efforts, helps us move closer to achieving these important improvements for our school community.
It would be great if you can come up to the school and get your child/ren to talk about their Discovery Learning. This helps create the partnership between home and school.
