New First Nations library resources!

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Student Team is a dedicated group of students who work together to strengthen our school’s understanding, respect, and celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions. 

Last year, the team researched a wide range of First Nations authors, illustrators, and storytellers, exploring books that would enrich our library collection and deepen cultural learning across the school. Working with a set budget, the students carefully reviewed recommendations, compared titles, and selected books that reflect diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences. Once the new books arrived, the team designed and created a new display in the library to showcase the collection. 

This project has not only expanded our library resources but also strengthened student leadership and cultural understanding across the school.
