MacKillop House Assembly – Community of Creation
This week, our College gathered for the MacKillop House Assembly, led confidently by our House Captains, Georgia Coleman and Albert McAuley.
The assembly centred on the theme “Community of Creation”, encouraging students to reflect on their role within our school and wider world.
Students explored the idea that everything and everyone is connected – people, relationships, and the environment – and that each individual contributes to the strength of a community. Through practical examples, students were reminded that everyday actions such as including others, helping classmates, respecting others, and caring for shared spaces all play an important role in building a positive and inclusive College community.
The assembly also celebrated student leadership and service. Active Citizen Awards were presented to students and staff who consistently demonstrate peer support, inclusivity, school spirit, and a commitment to others. These awards highlight the many ways members of our community live out the College values through service and leadership.
The recipients of the Active Citizens Awards were:
Year 7/8 -Maddy Brighton, Year 9/10 Ryan Taylor, Year 11/12 Marli Edwards and Staff Mr Mitchell Tomkins.
