Term 2 Begins with a Buzz!

It has been a fantastic start to Term 2 in the library, with students returning enthusiastic and ready to read. The energy around books and reading continues to flourish, and it has been wonderful to see so many students engaging with the library space.

Senior Book Club Spotlight

Our latest Senior Book Club meeting was a standout! Students were completely absorbed in our current title, leading to plenty of shared insights. It is always rewarding to see readers so deeply invested - not only in the story itself, but also in exploring different perspectives and interpretations. The maturity of conversation and the respect shown for differing views continues to make this group a highlight of the library program.

Strong Borrowing Trends

Borrowing rates have remained impressively high at the beginning of Term 2. Students are clearly making the most of the library collection, with a wide range of genres in circulation- from fast-paced fiction to informative non-fiction. It is encouraging to see such strong reading habits across all year levels, and we will continue to build and promote collections that reflect student interests.

Readers Cup Preparation

Excitement is building as our Readers Cup meetings get underway. Our Year 7 and 8 teams are beginning their preparation for the upcoming competition, showing great commitment and teamwork. Students are already engaging with the set texts and developing their analytical and collaborative skills. We look forward to seeing their confidence grow as they move closer to the event.

As always, the library remains a welcoming and vibrant learning hub. I encourage all students to keep exploring new books, participate in our programs, and make reading a regular part of their day.

Happy reading!
