Wall of Excellence 

Lysterfield Primary School is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments and impactful contributions of exceptional Alumni within their respective domains.  Our aim is to ignite inspiration amongst present and future students to strive for excellence across various areas.  We have a culture of high expectations and want to celebrate those who have had high expectations of themselves to succeed in their field. 

We plan to showcase the outstanding achievements or contributions of these students on our ‘Wall of Excellence’.

Pegasus Spirit

Today, we awarded our second Pegasus award.  This award is presented as a way to acknowledge students who display the Pegasus spirit. 

The Pegasus spirit not only encompasses boundless potential within us but also embodies kindness and selflessness.  In the mythological tales, Pegasus is often portrayed as a compassionate being willing to aid others in their quests. This spirit reminds us that true greatness lies not only in soaring to great heights, through high expectations of self, but also in extending a helping hand or looking out for others. The Pegasus spirit encourages acts of kindness, inspiring us to lift others up and to support them in their endeavours. In embracing the Pegasus spirit, we find fulfillment not only in our own achievement and succeses but also in the joy of making a positive difference in the lives of others. 

The recipient of the award today was Jordan P from grade 6. Jordan recently identified that a student was very upset in the yard.  He went over to this student to try to support them and recognised that an adult was required to provide further help.  Jordan took time out of his recess to get this help. Acts such as this help our students feel valued and feel connected to others. Congratulations Jordan, you truly demonstrated the Pegasus Spirit.
