Uniform reminder

As we have now settled into the rhythms of Term Two, some timely reminders will hopefully help maintain the high standards that we expect of our students as they present their very best, both within the school and out and about in the city.  Term Two requires all students to wear their full winter uniform; however, due to the unnatural clement weather, some students are struggling with maintaining this throughout the day. In summary, winter uniform requires:

  • Shirts tucked in at all times
  • Tie worn at all times
  • Top button done up at all times
  • Blazer worn to and from school every day, worn to the Cathedral on Monday, and through the day if the student feels cold
  • School socks or tights worn every day

We are pleased to confirm that girls will be able to choose between wearing socks or tights in the winter terms; just as trousers or shorts may be worn. Tights will no longer be compulsory, except for certain whole school formal events or performances, such as Valedictory and Presentation Evening.

Early arrivals

It is also timely to remind families that students are only able to access the school building at 50 William St from 7.30am each morning, unless they are attending an authorised co-curricular activity. As we head into the winter months the mornings are now quite dark and we discourage students from arriving earlier than 7.30am and needing to wait for staff members to arrive at school to gain access to the building. Reception is only staffed from 07030each morning where Mrs Gamble is ready to warmly welcome students to the School.

Missing something?

Lost property is rapidly building up in Reception, with many items unable to be returned to students as they are unnamed. All items of student property and uniform needs to be clearly labelled as we would much prefer to be able to reunite them with their lost items rather than have it accumulate in lost property.
