As you can see from the cover of The Dragon (Miss Hewitt dressed as Pythagoras and Ms Jonas as Fibonacci), it has been an exceptional Maths Week. Congratulations to the Mathematics Department, led by Head of Mathematics Miss Hewitt. It was delightful to see extensive participation from students across various year groups, exploring diverse activities and challenges from speed-cubing to jigsaw puzzles and evening maths quizzes on Level 4!

Remote Parent Teacher Interviews

We were thrilled to welcome more than 200 families to the school on Wednesday night for our initial Year 8-11 Parent Teacher Interviews. We have sent out invitations for the Remote Interviews scheduled for Thursday, 16 May. If you are interested in attending this second opportunity to discuss your child’s academic progress, please ensure your bookings are made by Tuesday, 15 May at 8:00AM.

Legendary Learners

For the past fortnight, many Year 11 and 12 students have benefited from staying at school until 7:30 PM to prepare for their examinations through our Legendary Learners program. The final session will be held on Tuesday, 15 May, on Level 2. We encourage all Year 11 and 12 students to take this opportunity for quiet study or to seek guidance from our dedicated Academic Coaches and teaching staff. No signup is required and its always of benefit to study with friends!

Year 11 and 12  Exams

We wish all our Year 11 and 12 ATAR students the best as they start their Semester One examinations next Thursday. During this busy time, it is important to prioritise self-care by ensuring sufficient quality sleep, incorporating light exercise to clear the mind, and eating well for energy. All things that encourage a healthy lifestyle to benefit the body and the mind.

Year 10 Information Evening

A reminder for our Year 10 students that Semester One examinations are fast approaching!

Mapped out below is a copy of the Year 10 exam timetable, where students are only required to attend exams as scheduled. At all other times, students are welcome to study from home, use our Laurence Library on Level 2, or explore the many public library spaces around Perth CBD and surrounds. Further information will be provided at our upcoming Year 10 Information Evening on Monday, 27 May at 6:00 PM. We look forward to seeing as many Year 10 families as possible and will also provide important updates regarding the Year 11 2025 Subject Selection process at this evening.
