Kitchen Garden

Inger Furlong, Kitchen Garden Teacher

It has been wonderful to see the students having fun and working cooperatively in the kitchen to produce delicious Italian cuisine.  Fresh eggs were gathered from our chickens to make the pasta, herbs were harvested and used in the creamy sauce and on top of the tasty focaccia.

The Year 5 and 6 students discussed and described what it means to be confident, adaptive and persistent in the kitchen and garden and why these attributes are important in dealing with new or challenging situations. The Year 3 and 4 students discussed and identified conflicts commonly experienced in peer groups and suggested possible causes and resolutions.

You can find the recipes below.  If you would like to borrow a pasta machine on a weekend please get in touch with me by email (inger.furlong@education.vic.gov.au).
