District Cross Country
Cross Country report
By Edward M and Leo M
Cross Country is a thrilling event where many schools participate in a long distance run. It is around 2-3km (depending on your age group).
The top 10 runners in each race qualify for the next level, Division Cross Country.
Out of around 80 participants in each race, from 11 local schools, about 500 students aged 9-13 participated. Lorikeets squawked with encouragement as the runners pounded the grassy hills of Bundoora Park.
Six students from NPS were in the top 10 in their race and qualified for Division.
Congratulations to Sienna E, Leo L, Patrick D, Abby P, Innes N and Edward M for qualifying. Good luck at Division on the 30th May, again at Bundoora Park.
Everyone put in an exemplary effort and showed persistence and commitment, whether they qualified or not.
