Greetings from Shaun
150th Anniversary Celebrations
Northcote Primary School, school number 1401, was first opened in May 1874. Last Friday, we held a very special event, an event where we all came together to celebrate an incredible milestone. Thank you to all who joined us in commemorating our 150th anniversary! Your presence made the occasion truly special. It was particularly nice to see all the generations of past students and families mixing and sharing happy memories, some returning after a short time, others after a much longer time and of course our current families. Thank you for a truly memorable occasion.
Cross Country
Congratulations to all of our students who performed incredibly well at the District Cross Country competition yesterday. We have six students moving on to compete at a divisional level and we can’t wait to cheer them on as they continue their Cross Country Journey.
5/6 Camp- Lady Northcote Discovery Camp
We wish our 5/6 Students and Teachers all the best as they head off to Lady Northcote Discovery Camp on Monday. I hope their week is filled with laughter, friendship and unforgettable experiences and I can't wait to hear all about it when they return on Wednesday afternoon.
3/4 Swimming at Northcote Swimming Pool
The excitement doesn't stop there, our 3/4 students will start their swimming program on Monday the 20th of May. I know that the students are very much looking forward to that. I wonder if we have any future olympic swimmers that will be discovered at the Northcote pool in the next couple of weeks?
As always, we are looking for parent volunteers, if you are available and interested in helping out, please speak to your child's classroom teacher or the office to find out what is required.
2025 Prep Enrolments
Do you or someone you know have a child starting school in 2025? We are now accepting enrolments for next year, with school tours being held fortnightly on Tuesday mornings at 9:15am.
It’s that time of year again, where illness rears it's head and spreads through grades and cohorts like wildfire. A reminder that if your child is sick, or is displaying cold and flu symptoms, please conduct a RAT test and keep your child home whilst they are unwell. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe, happy and healthy!
Take Care,
Shaun.
