Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

As we approach Mother's Day, it's time to recognise and celebrate the incredible women who play the role of superheroes in our lives every single day - our mothers!

To all the mothers in our school community, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering love, support, and dedication.

To our students, remember to take a moment this Mother's Day to express your love and appreciation to the special women in your life. Whether it's with a homemade card, a heartfelt letter, a gift from the school stall or a simple hug, let's make sure our mothers feel extra loved and cherished on their special day.

As we celebrate Mother's Day, let's also remember to extend our appreciation to all mother figures, including grandmothers, aunts, guardians, and any other special women who play a maternal role in our lives.

This Mother's Day, let's celebrate the incredible women who make our world brighter, warmer, and full of love. Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mothers out there!

Cross Country

Congratulations to all our students for their incredible efforts and sportsmanship during our annual House Cross Country event today. It was great to see the students walk or run the circuit around the school, trying their best. A number of students in Years 4-6 will be selected to represent HT at the District Cross Country on Friday 17th May.

Miss Humphris will notify families later this week in regards to students representing the school.

Prep 2025 Enrolments

Following our two school open days, we are currently receiving applications for enrolment for Prep 2025. If you have a child due to start school next year, could you please complete our online Enrolment Application Form to secure enrolment and to assist with planning.

Enrolment offers will be sent to families following our Prep 2025 interviews in mid May.

Parking Restrictions - Important

I would like to remind parents again that 20 metres either side of the pedestrian crossing on Riddell Road is strictly `no standing’ between the hours of 8.15am - 9.15am and again from 3pm-4pm on school days The council signs and road markings indicate this traffic rule. We have received reports that some parents have been fined in recent weeks, so I strongly encourage you to adhere to this local road rule. The school does no have the authority to challenge the fines on behalf of parents.

We continue to encourage parents to park and walk if arriving prior to 3.30pm. If using the pick up bay, we encourage parents to arrive after 3.30pm. If the pick up bay is full, motorists are required to continue driving down Riddell and possibly looping back around Wallace Road. The best advice I can provide is to arrive after 3.40pm when there are very few cars on Riddell Road. The school provides supervision until 3.45pm. In the event that you are running late, you will need to collect your child from the School Office. I promise we won’t leave them on the nature strip!

Drop Off Bay

If you need to leave your vehicle in the morning when dropping off your child in the `drop off bay’ outside the school gates, could you please drive to the end of the bay before getting out of your car. This ensures a smoother flow of traffic. However, parents are unable to park in this bay during this time.

Have a great week!

Warm Regards,

Adrian Scutt
