Nugal-nganjin Garden

Nugal-nganjin means 'Ours';  our garden was named by Aunty Gail of the Wurundjeri Tribe

Outdoor Learning at its Best!

In a refreshing departure from the traditional classroom setting, our Grade 5/6 students have been taking their literacy sessions outdoors to bask in the sunshine and fresh air. Embracing the benefits of outdoor learning, they've been venturing into the open spaces of our school grounds to immerse themselves in the natural environment while honing their writing skills.

By incorporating the outdoor environment into their learning experience, students not only enhance their literacy skills but also develop a deeper connection with the world around them. As they explore the possibilities of writing amidst nature's beauty, they cultivate a sense of appreciation for the wonders of the outdoors, fostering a holistic approach to education that extends beyond the walls of the classroom.

'Give an Hour' Working Bee

To tackle the weeds and ensure our school continues to be a beautiful and inspiring place for learning, we are excited to announce this year’s upcoming 'Give an Hour' Working Bee. This community-driven event relies on the generosity of our parents and volunteers to help maintain our school grounds.

Dates: Saturday 4th May 1pm - 2pm

(The First Saturday of each Month)

Your participation, even if for just an hour, can make a significant difference in maintaining the beauty of our school environment.

The garden is continuing to have new additions. If you have plants you grow at home that represent your culture we'd love to add them to the garden. Chat to David or Aasta to arrange this!
