Home Inquiry:
Reading: Aim to read for 15 minutes per night.
Inquiry: Discuss with your parents your top 10 values, then ask them to write down their top 10 values and see if any are the same or different.

Literacy:
Spelling: Year 3 sound focus this week is the ‘s = z’ sound, with a grammar focus on Possessive Pronouns. Year 4 sound focus is the ‘schwa /ar/’ sound, with a grammar focus on Subject and Noun.

Writer’s Workshop: We will be focusing on elements of Author Blurbs and why authors might choose to write them.
Reader’s Workshop: To link with our Inquiry, we will be looking at character traits, values and their actions.
Mathematics: We will begin measurement investigations, with a focus on length.
Unit of Inquiry: This week in our Unit of Inquiry ‘Who We Are’, we are exploring our cultural values and will be researching the state flags to gain an understanding of what government systems may value.
