INSPIRING CURIOUS MINDS
TERM 2 - WEEK 1
Welcome back and we hope you enjoyed the holidays as much as we did throughout our Holiday Program.
For those who haven’t met me yet, my name is Emelie and I am the new TheirCare Coordinator here at South Melbourne Park Primary. I have been here for three weeks now and have loved getting to know all the Children!
Week 1 has been a nice start to the term, we have spent the week recapping on our holiday fun through making Post Cards, drawing, and writing.
Thursday afternoon we had a group chat about the importance of showing respect to one another as well as the TheirCare staff. We also discussed some new ideas for breakfast/afternoon tea, new activities and spoke about who would like to be Term Leaders going forward. Coming up with the Term Leaders to the children is a way for them to have more interaction in planning and show leadership amongst the group. They all seemed to love this idea!
Some interactive games we have done throughout the week have been marble and spoon race, red rover, aeroplane competition and soccer.
I would love to hear some feedback from parents and any idea’s they think of for the program. We also kindly ask that parents continue to sign their children in and out.
If you have not used our services, registrations can be completed online at www.theircare.com.au. We always welcome your input so please reach out if you have any feedback or ideas to ensure we provide the best care.
