Principal's Message

Dear Families, Students and Community Members,

 

I write this as we end a busy Term 1, which saw our college over double in size from our foundation year last year. This week we have finished the term with Parent Teacher Interviews, and I really do want to thank everyone who attended; we have had over 70% of families attend interviews over the past 2 days. We know that the success of our students involves parents, staff and students working together for the common goal of ensuring a supportive learning environment all members of our community.

 

As we have finished the term we have also confirmed our student leaders for 2025. Congratulations to all students who have been selected for various leadership roles in our college, with special mention to our two new College Captains – Naomi Ashley & Aaryan Thota. 

 

Compass Notifications. 

Can I please ask that all families ensure they have set up their Compass notifications to go to phones and email, not just email. As previously mentioned Compass is one our primary communication tools with families. The only way for us to communicate with families in urgent situations, i.e., cancellation of an event, is through Compass text communication. 

We utilise Compass for attendance, events, excursions and important reminders. If families are struggling to set this up on the phone, please reach out to the office staff for support.

 

College Council:

Following the close of the ballots and the tally of votes, the newly elected school council representatives are as follows.

Elected Parent Representatives:

  • Sonia Tyagi (2-year appointment) April 2025 till March 2027
  • Matthew Witbrodt (2-year appointment) April 2025 till March 2027

Elected Staff Representatives:

  • Janelle Lugg (2-year appointment) April 2025 till March 2027

Elected Student Representatives:

  • Farzain Mir (7I) (2-year appointment) April 2025 till March 2027
