Dhelkaya Health letter
Late last year students in years 4/5/6 held a fundraiser to support homeless people and people at risk of homelessness in our local area. The students raised an amazing $571- that they donated to Dhelkaya Health to support the homeless service they provide. Below is the letter we received from the CEO thanking us for the donation
Parents and Friends Club
Eve has provided another weekly update for the Parents and Friends page including current and upcoming activities and events. Have a look at the Parents and Friends Group page for more details.
Breakfast Club
We are now able to offer Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Thank you to parents and community members who are available to help on those days.
We would like to offer the service every school day, but that is dependant on having people volunteer. If you would like to know more or to volunteer, please let me know.
The more volunteers, the more days we can operate the Breakfast Club.
Taradale PS is a member of the Food Bank Breakfast Club programme. This means we are able to offer breakfast to all students every day at no cost to families or the school.
The school orders all the food for the club and it is staffed by adult volunteers who supervise children at breakfast.
School library
A huge thank you to Frances, Karly and other parents who have been doing an amazing job sorting through books, cleaning and more cleaning as they get the library in room 2 into order. Frances and Karly will be surveying students and staff to gauge areas of interest for new book purchases
School uniforms and hats - we are still waiting for the delivery!
I have received an update, new hats and shirts are currently at the printer, delivery hopefully soon.
