The Mercury’s ‘Tasweekend’ magazine (15 February) contained a feature on OV Tino Carnivale (svc 1988-92). Tino has opted out of his former roles as a co-presenter of Gardening Australia on ABC television and gardening feature writer for the Mercury newspaper to relocate to a quieter and more fulfilling life on the Tasman Peninsula.
He and his partner and their two children have settled on a 20 ha property at Koonya. As well as developing this property, Tino manages a 4 ha cherry orchard containing some 8000 trees.
To quote Tino from Linda Smith’s Tasweekend article – It’s one of the best decisions we have made, I suppose for lifestyle and quality of life. We’ve found a lovely community down here that we really enjoy hanging out with.
