Hockey Victorian Roadshow

Last Monday and Wednesday the Hockey Victorian Roadshow visited Sacred Heart to teach some hockey skills to the PE classes. This was fantastic, with our students learning lots of new hockey skills. The ‘Hook in 2 Hockey’ Program is available for Sacred Heart students. This program involves six Saturday morning sessions (the first one was last Saturday 22nd February). The sessions are held at the Eastern Reserve. Please see attached flyer for more information.

Colac Division Tennis Tournament

Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 students who competed in the Colac Division Primary Schools Tennis Tournament last Friday at the Colac Lawn Tennis Courts. It was great to see some excellent tennis throughout the day. Well done to our students for not only displaying good tennis skills, but also good sportsmanship. I was very proud of them all. A big congratulations to Isaac McGuane who made it through to the finals. Although Isaac didn’t win his last match, he played very well and it was a great game to watch.

A big thank you to Tom Armistead, Cody McNamara and the Sacred Heart parents who assisted on the day.

Sacred Heart Athletics Years 3-6

The Sacred Heart Athletics will take place this Thursday 27th February at Colac Central Reserve. All students from Years 3-6 will have the opportunity to participate in this event. The athletics will start at 9:40am and finish at 1:30pm. Students will walk to the Central Reserve. We DO NEED parent helpers on the day, so can you please indicate on PAM if you can assist or email Nicole Lynch nlynch@shcolac.catholic.edu.au to indicate any time you can assist – even if you can give an hour that is a big help! A roster will be sent home on Wednesday to parents who have offered to assist on the day.

Students will need to wear their sports uniform and hat on the day. They will also need a drink bottle (or two – the day looks hot), fruit, snacks and lunch. Students need to apply sunscreen before they come to school, and teachers will offer sunscreen throughout the day for students to reapply.

(Please complete Permission details on PAM for your child)
